I may have found this before but I’ve found a William Ramsay, Esq married to a Janet Mansfield in A genealogical and heraldic dictionary of the landed gentry of Great Britain … by Sir Bernard Burke as part of the following entry for Ramsay of Barnton:

CHARLES WILLIAM, now of Barnton and Sauchie.
I’ve found a Miss Janet Mansfield marrying a William Ramsay (merchant) on 31 July 1763 in the REGISTER OF MARRIAGES For the Parish of Edinburgh. I also found a Miss Jean Hamilton marrying a George Ramsay (younger of Barnton) on 21 Feb. 1791, which is only 3 days out from the date above. The Parish of Edinburgh recordsalso mention that Agnes Brown married Peter Ramsay (stabler) 2 Mar. 1760. I’m guess that this Peter is the brother of William.
The records also mention the marriages of a few other family members including:
James Mansfield, captain lieutenant in 7th regiment of Dragoons, and Miss Margaret, d. to Mr. Peter Ramsay of Wariston in county of Midlothian, in Tolbooth on 16 Sept. 1770
Miss Elizabeth Hamilton to William Ramsay, jun. (banker) on 7 Dec. 1791
John Marjoribanks, in St. Andrew and Miss Alison Ramsay, dau. of William Ramsay of Barnton on 12 Apr. 1791
Baillie Matthew, of Cairnbroe, Captain of the 13th Dragoons and Miss Agnes Ramsay, second daughter. of William Ramsay of Barnton on 25 Dec. 1792
John Marjoribanks and Alison Ramsay are also ancestors has their daughter married Josiah Nisbet and his daughter married George Ramsay Maitland who is my great great great grandfather.
I haven’t worked out whether Janet Mansfield is the daughter of James Mansfield who founded the private bank that later became Mansfield, Ramsay and
