Elsewhere in Lancashire – Thomas Holland the gcrocer

Well, not all my ancestors in Lancashire were wealthy Industrialists. Certainly, my mother’s grandfather William Birtwistle was a cotton manufacturer. However, his wife was Rachel Holland and according to Lancashire OnLine Parish Clerk Project she was daughter of a grocer called Thomas Holland. Maybe that’s why he’s not mentioned on the family tree.
