As part of the Ay-up family newsletter I was planning to include chapters from my mother’s memoirs about her childhood …

I started this family history blog to try and find out a little more about our mysterious great great great grandfather George Goldsmith Kirby. I ended up tracing my ancestors back to Adam & Eve via Henry VII, although the descent from the Greek primal deity Chaos seemed more plausible. The site has subsequently grown and grown, so I hope you find it either interesting or useful.

♣ Scrapbook of an Edwardian Lady

My great great aunt Agnes Selina Fox kept a scrapbook. It's a fascinating record of her life, and the changing times from the turn of the century to just after WW1. I've started to add parts of this to this blog as I try to piece together the people and places she's included. You can see this work in progress here.
